YouAreInvited.VIP

A key-marked event invitation site where guests choose an event and use its password to unlock private details. The Halloween invitation has closed, and the page now says there are no current events.

At a glance

  • Who it helps: Hosts and invited guests
  • The problem: An invitation needs to feel personal while keeping event details private until the right guest enters the right password.
  • My role: Creative direction, interface design, and access flow
  • Choose an event and enter its password
  • Private invitation details stay server-side until access is verified
  • A considered “No current events” state between gatherings

The story

YouAreInvited.VIP is a private event-invitation site built around a small, thoughtful entrance: choose an event, enter its password, and see the invitation details. The Halloween edition has passed, so the current experience is intentionally clear that there are no current events.

The design uses a key mark, a quiet editorial palette, and a focused guest flow. Event information stays server-side until the matching password is accepted. The site is ready for a future event to be added when its host has approved the details and password.

This project is a compact example of how I work across identity, interface design, responsive layout, and the behind-the-scenes access logic that supports a real experience. I’ve preserved screenshots of the earlier Halloween entrance and the new empty state here as the invitation site moves into its next chapter.

What I’m creating

A reusable private invitation site with a key mark, event selection, password-verified event access, and a clear empty state between gatherings.
